The Black man consistently falls victim to hypersexualisation from the white gaze. His body being seen as the pinnacle of hyper-masculinity, the acme of feminine lust, leaving his skin convoy to unsolicited perception and stereotype. The myth of the "hyper" Black man, although denied by his oppressors, condemns him; for this facade that is perpetually advertised by mass media, only escorts his demonisation from this same perpetrator; patriarchal white supremacy. They diminish his worth and full potential, and therefore he is not often/never told that he is more than just an object - made for his white peers to possess. Not often/ever is he told that he is allowed to feel, to be vulnerable. It is now our job to tell our Black men these truths; from a young age, and older. Black men are more than just their bodies, their skin.
